First off- Happy Birthday to me... and my twin brother Scott. We are both 31 years old. Hmm I guess I could have just said 31 but yeah we are BOTH 31.
Now I want to thank Carol my neighbor for watching Danica today. I had jury duty - ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! Do you think the jury pool computers could have picked me for another day?!?!
Basically I sat in a very uncomfortable chair from 8AM to 2:30PM. What fun. I would have rather went to work Thursday night and been off with Danica on Friday.
We are fortunate to have great neighbors and it all start with Carol and Joe. On one occasion a few years ago we were running late and stuck in traffic trying to get into the Holland Tunnel. We feared our dogs might be at wits end as far as going to the bathroom. We called Carol and Joe and they said they would let our dogs out.
We finally returned home and Carol and Joe were just leaving our house. It seemed a little odd. The only had to let the dogs out out once. we entered our house to find our kitchen table glowing from numerous candles. The table was set and a frosty mug was waiting for me in the freezer. A bottle of Budweiser awaited me in the fridge.
Carol had cooked us a 3 course meal!!! Joe and Carol set the table and had just finished bringing the food over. I had left for work at 5am and now at 8PM i was exhausted and hungry. I had one of the best meals ever that night. The beer was cold and Allie and I could not believe what our neighbors had just done for us. It was truly remarkable. We do have the best neighbors!!
