Almost Here

It is hard to believe that in a month and a half we will have another baby here. Of course I am excited but I am also very anxious. We are pretty much playing this one by ear. I don't know if I could handle Danica running around the house while an infant is crying and pooping 8 times a day with only a few hours of sleep. I would like to think I could somehow... but at the same time I don't want to go off the deep end.

Another factor to consider is our dogs. We have three of them and we don't like in a mansion by any stretch of the imagination. Actually our house is pretty small. The dogs have been somewhat neglected since Danica came along, which means they've been treated better than 95% of the dogs in this country. They are spoiled but also crave attention too. So I will really be home trying to appease 5 needy children and animals. I hope we can figure out a way to make it work.

Danica is also reverting back to her old sleeping ways. After some impressive streaks of sleeping through the night she has been waking up this week. Last night Allie got less than 5 hours of sleep. That can't be good for a very pregnant lady. So I am concerned. But she also does not want to take off from work to get the rest she needs.

It is ironic because Allie always gets on my case for not getting sleep. She wants me to get our neighbor to watch Danica more often. But I'd rather forgo sleep to watch and help Danica grow up. I think in Allie's case she is sleeping for two so she really needs the rest. But she's trying to save days for when we really need them.

Hopefully we can get Danica to bed tonight and both crash for some sleep.
