First Steps

Last Night Danica took her first real steps. Allie and I were with her in the living room when she pushed off of me to stand. Then she took two steps before leaning up against the couch. She did this twice. We were both very excited. Of course I am in no rush to see her walking. I have a tough time keeping up with her when she is crawling so walking will be challenging for both me and Danica. I am also not looking forward to the added risk of injury.

Believe it or not I am also making progress. I am letting Danica crawl around our house a lot more, sometimes with the dogs nearby too! This is a big milestone for me. I am also more relaxed when she injures herself or cries. I never used to be able to handle her crying. But now I can tell if she is acting or really in pain. More often than not she is acting.

We are a little over a month away from baby #2. I have a feeling that having two young children will make raising one seem like, pardon the pun or whatever you would like to call it, child's play!
