The day got off to a bad start when at 8 am, precisely 20 minutes after I got home from working all night, Danica poked herself in the eye. She was taking off her sock and she pulled hard, much like when she's pulling my chest hair or my ear, and the sock came off and her hand hit her eye. I didn't see this, I was across the room, so i don't know if she just hit her eye or poked it with her finger. She cried hard and didn't try to open her eye for over ten minutes. Of course I was in a panic. I can't stand her getting hurt, especially on my watch. I felt and still feel awful. Her eye now is just a little red so she is doing better and I am starting to regain some of my sanity.
We have an eye doctor appointment set for this afternoon and hopefully all is alright. I also pulled a back muscle or had a back spasm this morning. So she's in discomfort from her eye and I have a constant pain in my back. It has just been a wonderful week so far. Lets hope it does not get any worse before it gets better.
Yesterday she would not nap in the afternoon and kept waking up at night. This morning I was able to get her to nap from 9-11AM but she's still cranky. I imagine once her eye gets better and her teeth stop bothering her she will return to happy Danica, and I will be able to return to happy dad!
